How much does luxury vinyl plank installation cost in Jacksonville?
It depends on the material you choose, the square footage, and what we find under the old floor. A straight tear-out and install over a sound slab is the low end. Subfloor repair, stairs, and complex layouts add to it. We measure with laser tools and give you a firm number in writing, not a range that moves later.
Is luxury vinyl plank actually waterproof?
The plank itself is. That means a spill, a pet accident, or a dishwasher leak will not swell the material the way laminate or hardwood would. Water can still get through the seams and sit on the subfloor if a leak goes unnoticed for long enough, so waterproof is not the same as flood-proof.
Can you install LVP over my existing tile?
Sometimes. If the tile is well bonded, flat, and the added height does not create a problem at doors and appliances, going over it is a legitimate option that saves demo cost. If the tile is hollow, cracked, or uneven, covering it just moves the problem up a layer. We check before we recommend it.
